As means to continue effecting impact on smooth operations in the sector, the Department of Immigration together with its stakeholders , APIC Zambia engage from time to time in order to consult and update each other on the sector. While consultants continue to provide reliable means for service delivery to be made with end users, the department on the other hand provide a framework through which these stakeholders can engage.
A Consultative Meeting was held with the Department of Immigration on 30 November 2022. A number of key issues which included the following were discussed at the Consultative Meeting.
1 Holding of Regular/Scheduled Consultative Meetings. At what intervals should these meetings be held.
2 Up-dating and sharing of information provided in Immigration materials such as the booklet on Immigration Services.
3 Developing and sharing a Customer Service Charter.
4 Improving the queuing system for Permit Card Collection.
5 Status of Renewal of Consultants’ Registration/Practicing Certificates
6 Report on findings from Inspections conducted on Consultants seeking renewal of Registration/Practicing certificates
7 ZIMS III
1 Strengthening the integrity of ZIMS III platform.
2 Authenticity of unsigned (Approval and Rejection letters) electronic documents generated from ZIMS III.
8 Feedback on recent correspondence.
1 Proposed revisions to the APIC Legal Framework/Statutory Instrument
2 Proposed Consultants’ immigration fees.
